When machining mechanical parts, when the workpiece is too high, it shall be roughened with knives of different lengths in layers. After roughening with a large knife, the remaining materials shall be removed with a small knife. The flat bottom knife is used to process the plane, and the ball knife is used less, so as to reduce the processing time; If there is a slope, it shall be processed with a slope knife.


Reasonably set the tolerance to balance the machining accuracy and computer calculation time, do more processes and reduce the empty tool time; The hardness of blank material is high, so reverse milling is selected; The hardness of blank material is low, so forward milling is selected. Rough machining, reverse milling, finish machining, forward milling; The tool material has good toughness and low hardness and is suitable for rough machining. The tool material has poor toughness and high hardness and is suitable for finish machining.


When the workpiece is clamped at one time, it shall be able to complete the processing of all surfaces of the workpiece; When determining the placement position of the workpiece on the workbench, the influence of the processing of each station, the length of the tool and the stiffness of the tool on the processing quality should be considered. For the fixture used in controlled machining, the fixture assembled by general components and adjustable shall be selected as far as possible to shorten the production preparation cycle.


When the machining plant arranges the processing sequence, the basic principles must be observed, including "face first and then hole", "rough first and then fine" and so on. Process according to the centralized working procedure of the tool, avoid repeated use of the same tool for many times, and reduce the number and time of tool change.


For the hole system with high coaxiality requirements, the hole system at other coordinate positions shall be processed after the processing of the hole system is completed after one positioning, so as to eliminate the error caused by repeated positioning and improve the coaxiality of the hole system. Select and determine the tool point and tool change point. Once it is determined, it should not be replaced.
